Soprano Anett Fritsch (replacing an injured Sandrine Piau in the Glyndebourne performancs) was an utter delight as Almirena. Some of the Prommers felt that her duet in the 'Augelletti' with the stunning sopranino playing of Rachel Beckett was worth the price of the ticket alone. What a shame her opening aria, 'Combatti da forte' was cut.

La distribution vocale est particulièrement réussie, et les deux couples très homogènes, aux timbres particulièrement riches, donnent entière satisfaction. La palme revient sans doute à la Fiordiligi d'Anett Fritsch, voix chaude et chargée d'émotion, bouleversante au deuxième acte quand elle chante « Per pieta ben mio, perdona » qui marque le passage au drame. Dorabella (Paola Gardina), légèrement en retrait, maîtrise parfaitement le rôle et se montre remarquable musicienne dans les duos.

Auch die Rezitative sind mit unerhörter Präzision gearbeitet, als ginge es um Sprechtheater. Anett Fritsch überzeugt als stimmlich herausragende Fiordiligi, Andreas Wolf lässt als Guglielmo mit vielversprechendem Timbre aufhorchen, Juan Francisco Gatell führt als Ferrando seinen Tenor mit großer Präzision und auch Paola Gardina als Dorabella und Kerstin Avemo als Despina überzeugen typgerecht besetzt.
