‘King Arthur’ at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden
Anett Fritsch returns to the Staatsoper Berlin to sing the Soprano in Purcell’s King Arthur. Performances will take place on November 2, 6 & 8. René Jacobs leads the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, with an inventive and imaginative staging by Sven-Eric Bechtolf and Julian Crouch. Ms. Fritsch received critical praise when she last starred in this magnificent production in 2017:
“Soprano Anett Fritsch marveled as Merlin’s trusty spirit Philidel and Cupido, her coloratura agile and light, her singing and speaking impressive both on stage and whilst airborne.” (Bachtrack)
Ms. Fritsch shares the stage with Benno Schachtner as the Altus, Reinoud Van Mechelen as the Tenor, and Neal Davies as the Bass, among others. For more information about the production and ticket links, click here.
